Renon Plateau: mystical wine excursion

While Bruni regales us with fascinating wine stories, we fly over the city’s outskirts and idyllic Santa Maddalena vineyards to Soprabolzano. After a ride on the vintage Renon train, we take the shuttle bus up hairpin bends to our final destination, an old farmhouse converted into a winery.

As soon as you pass through the entrance gate you are transported to the seductive atmosphere of Greek mythology, with the combination of the vineyard, painted walls and splendid terrace. The wine cellar is the true heart of the property, a hand-hewn tunnel at the end of which a mystical glow illuminates the splendid view of the gorge and the Eschenbach waterfall.
