The starting point for this excursion is Barbiano, a sunny village in the Eisack valley. The church tower, visible from afar, is said to be even more crooked than that of Pisa.
Our day begins with a visit to an organic garden in the middle of a rustic landscape. Christine is our exceptional guide in the garden. With her we discover the infinite properties of her aromatic and medicinal herbs. It is interesting to discover how people once used these natural remedies to treat illnesses and diseases – and who knows this better than Christine, who was a nurse for many years. After a delicious refreshment of cool herbal tea, we walk to one of the most beautiful summer resorts in South Tyrol.
The renowned guesthouse “Bad Dreikirchen” is in an idyllic location next to a unique ensemble of the three churches of St. Gertraud, St. Nikolaus and St. Magdalena. The perfect place to enjoy the view and a fine aperitivo with some delicious appetizers. Here, surrounded by nature, time seems to stand still.
